The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema is a century-old theatre located in the heart of Toronto’s historic Annex neighbourhood. Internationally acclaimed architectural firm, Hariri Pontarini, oversaw the recent renovation of the 700 seat theatre that features improved seating, dazzling lobby and concessions areas, and a refreshed façade, as well as new projection and sound equipment.

The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema offers audiences a unique experience both visually and acoustically, providing state-of-the-art technology in a historic setting. The renovated cinema’s improvements include an expansive screen, updated sound system, additional lighting, and new projection equipment.

“The elegantly refurbished Bloor Cinema has become one of the city’s cultural institutions…..and Hot Docs has embraced the idea of community and neighbourhood in a way that is almost startling.” – David McFarlane, Toronto Star
